AAMS Products
The Automated Acquisition Management System (AAMS) is the only
knowledge-base-driven federal acquisition solution. Targeting
acquisition, grants, and the program office, AAMS comprises a set of
software tools driven by a configurable, comprehensive knowledge
base. AAMS is focused on the integrated delivery of policy
recommendations, regulatory content, data collection and process
tracking.
Planning
The AAMS planning features allow AAMS to generate, collect, and
track a wide variety of acquisition planning information. AAMS
planning begins with simple pre-fiscal year requisition forecasting
to assist with resource planning. It can then be augmented to
support earlier acquisition planning steps, facilitating the
development of standard acquisition planning practices and
procedures.
Funding
AAMS supports a stable, robust ability to receive and manage
requisitions generated by external systems or entered directly into
AAMS. Requisitions can be linked to planning elements to track
projected budgets against monies committed, providing a
requisition-based view into the status of pending acquisition
actions. Committed monies are tracked and allocated by requisition
fund line in real-time, either by line item or an
aggregated
basis.
Pre-Award
AAMS allows acquisition staff to consolidate requisition
requirements into one or more solicitations and supports the
evaluation of an estimated budget against available funds. AAMS
provides unique, in-depth content management support for
sophisticated solicitation packages for public posting. Interfaces
to FedBizOpps offer seamless electronic document posting. Bid
receipt uses an email-based approach and supports bid comparison in
Microsoft Excel®.
Award
When a buy is made, AAMS automatically generates the appropriate
kind of purchasing vehicle from purchase orders
to complex contracts, inserting appropriate clause language and
changes from the solicitation and negotiation process. Vendor
information flows form the CCR using AAMS' Virtual Vendor
Repository. The AAMS award process ensures available funds, required
warrant levels, real-time FPDS-NG reporting, and any other
agency-mandated criteria. Award data is automatically pushed to any
related systems such as finance or receiving.
Post-Award
Delivery orders, task orders and award modifications are managed in the AAMS
post-award processes. Reminders can trigger renewals, deliverable
verification, options, and final closeout. AAMS provides an
automated-linking view which aids contract management by connecting
associated acquisition actions. AAMS provides out-of-the-box
standard reporting and integration with Microsoft Office®
tools for ad-hoc reporting.
